For the first time in LUMI history, we stepped away from our signature aesthetic. Born This Way is hand-poured into a 250ml frosted glass jar with a rose gold lid — its layered rainbow wax visible through the glass, a quiet but powerful statement on any shelf.
It burns on a premium cotton wick for a clean, even flame, with a burn time of 60 to 72 hours. The formula is a 60% soy, 40% beeswax blend — non-toxic, alcohol-free, paraben-free, and phthalate-free. Proudly made in the Philippines.
The candle jar is refillable and sustainably packaged. Every detail was chosen with intention — because this candle deserves to be treated as the keepsake it is.

Q: Does the signature scent change as the candle burns through the different colored layers?
No — the signature scent remains perfectly consistent from top to bottom. The seven fragrance notes are unified into one blend, evenly distributed throughout the entire candle. You'll experience the same warm, complex aroma from the first red layer all the way down to the violet base.
Q: How do I make sure the rainbow layers burn evenly?
On the very first burn, allow the candle to burn until the wax melts completely across the full surface — usually 2 to 3 hours. This creates a melt memory that prevents tunneling and ensures every layer burns beautifully and evenly.
Q: Will Born This Way be restocked after Pride Month?
No. Born This Way is a strictly limited-edition release, handcrafted exclusively for June. Once the current batch sells out, it will not be restocked for the rest of the year. If you've been thinking about it, now is the time.
Q: What is the wax composition, and is it safe?
Born This Way uses a 60% soy, 40% beeswax blend — non-toxic, clean-burning, and free from alcohol, parabens, and phthalates. It is safe for home use and burns cleaner than paraffin alternatives.
To get the most out of Born This Way's layered signature scent, burn it in a smaller, enclosed space for the first few sessions — a bedroom or a study room works beautifully. The complex fragrance notes need a little warmth to fully open up, and a contained room lets you experience the full arc from the bright fruity top notes down to the soft, powdery base. Once the wax pool is established, it will perform just as well in larger living spaces.
